Poetry: I think in colors like my mother does.

Poetry: I think in colors like my mother does.

I think in colors like my mother does

I’m on the rainbow spectrum in my mind because

I’d rather see the light and shades

The good with bad it’s not enough

My pretty memories in a field of grays, and blacks, and whites

Melting in the blending present - twilight and dusk

It’s just a little off and odd, pretend I’m not

Some things are just so obvious

The words I have just tend to dot dot dot

dot dot dot dot dot dot

Dot dot doooot dot dot dot

The featured image on this blog post is my current view where I sit in my art studio. It’s been a day of rest and introspection, letting my mind wonder as I tap in and out of work. These are one of my favorite kind of days. Just floating in time peacefully.
