Artist Statement

Art has always been a safe place for me to express myself. My mission is to create special pieces of art which inspire hope, conversations, and to remind the viewer that they possess perspective. I wish to ultimately empower the viewer's inner voice that demands, “I can do anything I put my mind to."

My work is based from personal experiences which examine the process of transformation. Through use vibrant colors my work explores the journey of growth and courage, how the journey gives opportunities for wisdom, and the result of choice.

About Jessica Elaban

Jessica began her art exploration sitting at her grandparents' dining room table where her grandmother taught her how to doodle. From those beginnings she became a self taught artist. Her parents and family encouraged her to explore every medium possible. Most importantly her family told her to never stop creating. In college she received her first commissions from the music scene in Austin, Texas, and would later use her talents towards fundraising efforts for Give Kids the World and Conner's Cure. Jessica is currently releasing multiple collections with pieces dating back to the 1990's, and will continue to create for as long as she possibly can.
