ALRIGHT,
This past week I had a massive burnout. I was moving along with a plan I made. A very carefully thought out plan, then... crash. I spent 3 days trying to catch up on the energy I had spent from the weeks before. Does anyone relate to this? Is this normal when you work 2 jobs, have a family, aaaaand create? At this point it's my firm belief that this sort of burnout comes with the territory of deciding to abscond with one's dreams while simultaneously balancing the spinning plates of life.
Yes. I cried in a pillow after work yesterday. Yes. I've taken involuntary naps. And yes, plenty of wine and rabbit holes figuring out the meaning of life along the way. However today I march on. I think the main action that revived my spirit was spending a solid 10 minutes of journaling last night. I just unloaded. Everything I was stressed about, things I was carrying, and let it out the same way I would with a close and nonjudgemental friend. It was a whine/wine ventilation session, and I let the mental toxins out. No holds bar, baby.
So this blog entry here is for you when you think the world is crashing down on you. Just remember, though that light of energy seems to dim at times, the sparks still fly where the heart is. Just talk some smack on a piece of paper and burn it later.
